Used to sells ice and now have couple companies, check out success key from mr. suryataga

Mataram, LombokInsider.com – Not many know Lalu Suryataga, a successful entrepreneur born in East Lombok who started his business from selling ice in his hometown, Tete Batu, East Lombok. Then Surya has been learning independently since he was in elementary school (SD). Even though his parents could afford it at the time, he didn’t want to depend on him.

“Once as I recall, my father bought a book with me,” Surya recalls.

He was an outstanding student in his class, from elementary to high school, and he even won one of the seven classes at that time. This achievement aims to get him a book prize so he doesn’t burden his parents.

“In the first semester, Cawu was said to be (Caturwulan), I won first place and got book four, Cawu second, I won first place, still got book four. Up to grade 2, I won first place and got book four. From elementary to high school, I have never won third place. As I recall. In fact, I was the overall champion of one of the seven classes at that time. I’m after the book so it doesn’t bother my parents,” he said.

The man who was born in Lekong Pituk, 1973 feels that Indonesia is superior in many ways, but does not have the skills to compete. This is due to the wrong mindset to work.

“In one year there are 364 days. 364 days we see the sun. And that’s a tremendous amount of energy that not everyone has. Many countries rarely see the sun. That’s a huge amount of capital. So what does not grow in Indonesia. What we don’t have in Indonesia. Only our ability to compete is missing, for what reason? Because our mindset to work is not good. The way we respond, or how we interpret that we want to work, is the one that makes a lot of mistakes,” he explained.

“We are working now, many of which are impromptu, slack, and follow-up. However, our abilities are not there. The skill is something we can make, we can think about, we can put it out. So until the apocalypse it will not be successful. God has already determined our life, what do you want? Just live it according to our field, “he added.

The founder of the Trisurya Company said that he entered the import-export business when he saw a monopoly on the stock of goods and prices in stalls and supermarkets in his village.

“Because I see, I was born in the village. Some people build stalls, others build kiosks, others build supermarkets. I felt someone had a monopoly, so I went into business overseas. At that time in 93, I exported tables and chairs to the Netherlands,” said Surya—his nickname.

Over time, Surya’s export-import business is not only to the Netherlands, but also to the Middle East, East Asia, Southeast Asia and others with the number of transactions reaching billions of rupiah per month.

“I entered the Middle East in 2008, to Asia, China, Vietnam and others in 2010. Every month I make billions of transactions,” said Surya.

According to him, competing in the business world lies in pampering customers. That is giving customers what they want.

“We compete on how to pamper customers. Simply put, give people what they want. If they want crackers, don’t give them bread. Even though bread is better than crackers. But at that time, maybe he wanted to make rujak, wanted beberok (a typical Lombok dish made from fresh eggplant and long beans with spicy tomato sauce. Sometimes added with crackers as a complement). Dipping bread is not good,” said Surya giving an example.

Despite his success, Surya still has a low profile. Even the owner of Mandalika Wholesale did not want to be exposed by any media beforehand. The most important thing for him is to build himself, his family, the community, especially in Lombok.

“I don’t want to be exposed. I also feel that many people know me. Even if it’s 2.3 people. I don’t need that. What I need is how then we can build ourselves, our families, the community, especially in Lombok,” he hoped.

At the end of the interview, Surya advised that business should prioritize the best service, because the results will be in accordance with these actions.

“Don’t think about how much money we make, but think how good we can do. Then the results will never lie,” he said. (UJ/LI)

KALTARABISNIS.CO – The potential of pepper in Kaltara is very prospect. This was stated by Anya Mandalika, a young exporter (24 years) from Tanjung Selor, Friday (19/3/2021). Anya Mandilka has been in the pepper exporter business for three years. Its export destination countries for the past three years are Vietnam and China. Anya collects a lot of pepper from farmers in the Mangkupadi area, Tanjung Palas Timur District, Bulungan Regency. “Pepper has great potential. So far, all I can get is if every harvest is 100 to 300 tons. That is especially so in Mangkupadi. If all these regions are combined, it might reach up to 500 tons, “said Anya. She believes that the potential for pepper in Mangkupadi is far more than she has collected so far. The pepper farms in the coastal area of Bulungan can reach hundreds of tons per harvest. “But maybe the obstacle is maintenance. This is the main obstacle for farmers, one of which is that they do not get fertilizer evenly. There are some farmers who get fertilizer, some don’t get fertilizer, ”she explained.

Anya Mandalika attended a technical meeting on the development of Kaltara agricultural products led by Deputy Governor Yansen TP in the governorate, Friday (19/3/2021). (KALTARABISNIS.CO) He gave an example, if a farmer has 1,000 trees it can produce tens of tons if it is maximized. But the reality at the moment is that it only produces tens of tons. “The maximum is only up to 12 tons,” said the girl who served as Operations Director at PT Tri Surya Utama. Apart from maintenance, he sees another obstacle faced by farmers is transportation. Cause inefficient logistics costs or high cost logistics. “Because as we know, we don’t have a port (port) for direct export. As a result, I had to export via Berau first, then from Berau to Surabaya. From Surabaya, I just continued to export countries. During these 3 years I have exported to Vietnam and China, ”he said. According to Anya, not only pepper can be exported. Many agricultural products in Kaltara have the same potential. “Only the facilities and the consistency of the production are possible. What is clear is the potential of pepper is very large. Because I have been directly involved for 3 years. So from the size of Mangkupadi it can produce a lot, especially if it is developed in many areas in Kaltara, “he explained. Parental Education and Motivation to Help Farmers Anya Mandalika can be an inspiration for young people to start a business from an early age.

To Kaltarabisnis.co, he explained the reasons why he dared to do business. Her biggest motivation is to apply the knowledge that Anya’s parents have taught her. “My biggest motivation is my parents. Because of my parents, I was educated from a young age to get into business. And it also happens that the President Director of PT Tri Surya Utama, my father, has been doing export and import since the 90s. So from him I was motivated to do the same thing, “said Anya. The motivation for both, he saw the great potential of Kaltara agricultural products, especially pepper. On the one hand, it acts as the first market for farmers in Kaltara. “In Kaltara, there is a great potential for agricultural products, especially pepper. I was moved to help farmers market their crops. Because before that they didn’t have a clear market. In addition, it is also to improve our regional economy, “he said. Pepper is ready for export at Anya Mandalika’s warehouse in Tanjung Selor. (PERSONAL DOCKS) “I want to help help the market for farmers who have already planted a lot and don’t know where to take them,” he added. Seeing that a lot of land has not been fully utilized also encourages Anya to get the community to farm instead of selling their land for mining and other activities. “Because if you manage it yourself, the results will be much greater,” he said. He has experienced the ups and downs of doing business as an exporter. The composition of experiences and valuable lessons from joys and sorrows has strengthened the business he is living in is getting stronger. “I think every job will have risks. Only the risk can be minimized if we understand our work, “he said. Potential of Pepper in 5 Regions in Kaltara Head of the Department of Agriculture and Food Security of Kaltara Province, Wahyuni Nuzband, said that pepper was a very promising agricultural commodity in the last three years in Kaltara. In 2020 alone, Nunukan Regency will be able to produce 400 tons of pepper. Then the City of Tarakan produced 750 tons. Meanwhile, Bulungan Regency and Malinau Regency are each capable of producing 253.62 tons of pepper, and Tana Tidung Regency with 176.47 tons. “What we are currently working on is to continue to make efforts to increase the productivity and quality of farmers’ produce. This includes anticipating pests and diseases, as well as conducting professional business management training, “he said.
